The majority of the copper piping is underground in the slab to minimize noise. All plumbing fixtures have a Brush Nickel finish. Cellular shades are one of the most popular window treatments because of their numerous features. The unique cellular construction provides excellent insulation and sound absorption and they are very durable yet extremely soft to the touch. Because of the honeycomb construction of Cellular shades they are ideal at providing light filtering control to a room. The blackout cellular shades take this a step further and allow for the total blackout of light into the room. M & B (Hunter Douglas) Cellular Shades have been installed in the Living Room, Master Bedroom, Master Bathroom, Office, and the Northwest Bedroom. One operable Skylight (Model VSE 606) in the Entry with full-function electronically operated Venetian Blinds, and an electronically operated exterior Heatblock Awning. The operable skylight, the Blinds, and Awning are all controlled either from a Wall-Mounted Keypad (Model WLI 160), a Remote Control, or via the Interface to the OmniPro II Controller for Home Automation (Model WLF 111). The Manufacturer's website is an excellent source for more information. The driveway is made of colored concrete (i.e., not asphalt), is sixteen feet wide, and is approximately 180 feet long and about a 25 degree incline. So a little intimidating the first time up, but one doesn't even think about it afterwards... This is what gets you up to the views. Most driveways are about 3.5-4.0" thick. This driveway is 5.5-6.0" thick; at least 33% thicker than normal! While there is clearly extra money involved, the intent was to minimize future maintenance, and also to minimize potential damage from heavy equipment should the need arise (e.g., swimming pool construction). There are eight zones installed (and controlled through Automation): . One zone is for drip and is distributed around the home; . Two zones are installed along the driveway embankment; .
